Benefits of a Generous Heart

Not everyone suffers in times of economic crisis. Although greedy appear to get richer, there are those who legitimately prosper even in trying times. These people are generous people making the most of any opportunity to give to others things to benefit them – time, words of wisdom and encouragement, much needed resources sometimes just their presence. Where others see crises as a time to withhold, these people see it as an opportunity to give all the more. Such is the spiritual economy that people of such generosity remain refreshed internally as well as externally.

Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered. (Proverbs 11:25)

Right Place – Right Time

If only I hadn’t met him. If only I had made it earlier. If only we had more time. What about those key turning points that turned out good? When you are frustrated recall those moments where you were at the right place at the right time. Perhaps a consoling conversation or a meeting that inspired you to make a life-changing decision. For however it may appear now, you can reflect that if you were not there for that moment you would have missed out. Celebrate today those times where one thing led to another and the rest is your-story.

But when the time was right, God sent his Son, and a woman gave birth to him. (Galatians 4:4)
